Interestingly, Knave's brutal attack was not meant to be a killing strike. Poisons and sleeping agents cast Cross into a catatonic state, and before his mind clouds he realises that Knave's intentions were to capture him for reasons unknown. But before Knave can whisk his prey away, he is cut down by an individual with tattered robes and a powerful aura. He simply stands there without saying a word. Before Knave can truly react to the unexpected development the person teleports himself and Cross away.
Knave is not amused in the slightest that his target has eluded him, but he decides to explore the empty ruins for anything he might find interesting.

AND THIS BATTLE IS OVER! So let's talk about what the hell just happened.
Every year since the beginning of DU I have introduced a new hero for me to mess around with during a Summer Event. I decided that this year will be no different. As for who this is... I'm sure those with a keen eye might be able to figure it out. I'll be drawing up an extra scene hopefully before the month ends. Until then, ask me what you thought of this story!
